Collingwood’s late‑night coach call throws AFLW programme into limbo

Collingwood made a late‑night call to former premiership coach Craig Starcevich, a move that feels more like a plot twist than a routine recruitment.

Starcevich, who has two AFLW premierships on his résumé, confirmed he received the call and is being asked to consider a return to his former club.

The Magpies are now reviewing their AFLW programme, leaving supporters to wonder whether this surprise outreach could rewrite the club’s playbook.
