HBO Takes Flight with ‘The Birds’ Limited Series Starring Sarah Snook

HBO has greenlit a limited‑series adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s iconic film and Daphne du Maurier’s novella, with Emmy‑winning "Succession" star Sarah Snook set to headline the project.

The package was originally shopped by Universal Global Television, and the development team now includes Tom Spezialy, David Heyman and UGT.

While the series promises to bring the suspense of the original story to a new format, details beyond the core creative team and Snook’s involvement have not been disclosed.

Fans can look forward to seeing Snook tackle the eerie world of "The Birds," though the network has kept plot specifics under wraps for now.
