Collingwood’s Star Skipper Quits as Season Turns Into a Black Hole

Ruby Schleicher has stepped down as captain of Collingwood’s women’s side, ending her stint at the helm.

Her departure arrives in the middle of a season described by the club as disastrous, with several senior players publicly expressing frustration about the direction of the team.

Collingwood’s management has not yet issued a statement, leaving the club to grapple with both the on‑field struggles and the off‑field uncertainty created by the skipper’s exit.
