Auckland Residents Rage Over Secret Telco Tower Locations

When the Telecommunications Forum and its members declined to disclose the planned locations of new telco towers across the country, Auckland residents erupted in fury.

The secrecy has left many feeling powerless, with jokes circulating that the towers might be part of a covert sabotage plot.

Local anger is not just about missing signal; it’s about being kept in the dark while the infrastructure that could restore connectivity remains a mystery.

City officials have pressed the Forum for answers, but the exact placement of the towers remains undisclosed, keeping the debate as opaque as the towers themselves.
