Averillo’s Hat‑Trick Turns Panthers’ Afternoon into a One‑Man Show

Jake Averillo turned a standard mid‑week clash into a solo fireworks display, scoring a hat‑trick against the Panthers.

From the first whistle he was already darting over defenders, his first try arriving after a slick dummy that left the opposition spinning. The second try came as a reflexive strike when a mis‑passed ball fell into his path, and he capitalised with a burst of speed.

The third try was the crowning moment – a clean dart over the line that completed his hat‑trick and left the Panthers wondering whether they were watching a rugby match or a pyrotechnics show.

Averillo’s teammates celebrated with the kind of exuberance usually reserved for grand finals, while the Panthers were left to stare at the scoreboard and ask themselves if they’d just been dazzled by a one‑man light show.
