Tubby labels Sam Walker’s Roosters contract talks ‘insane’

Commentator Tubby didn’t mince words when he described the Roosters’ ongoing talks with Sam Walker as “insane.” The remark set the tone for a Wide World of Sports panel that gathered to dissect the high‑profile contract negotiations.

While the details of the deal remain under wraps, the panel’s banter made it clear that the discussions have taken on a theatrical quality, with jokes about price tags and performance clauses flying back and forth.

Despite the humor, the panel acknowledged that the stakes are high for both the Roosters and Walker, and that the negotiations, though lively, remain a serious business matter.
