Lights Stay On This Winter, Engineers Still Worried About Supply

Your lights will stay on this winter – even if the engineers are still biting their nails.

The National Energy System Operator announced that it expects the electricity supply to be sufficient to keep lights on throughout the winter months.

The announcement follows comments from engineers who said they were concerned about the grid’s ability to ensure adequate supply.

While the reassurance should calm the public, the engineers’ worries highlight the ongoing challenges of managing winter energy demand.
