NBC Extends 'Line of Fire' to Full 18‑Episode Season

NBC has upgraded its freshman drama Line of Fire from a 13‑episode trial to a full 18‑episode season, banking on its breakout appeal and the allure of federal‑family intrigue.

The network’s decision was prompted by the series’ strong delayed‑viewing lift, the best in over three years.

Line of Fire stars Peter Krause and Hope Davis and follows a family of federal law‑enforcement agents.

In a move that feels like a corporate version of a family reunion, NBC announced it will add five more episodes to the first‑year drama, taking the total to a respectable 18.

The series has already been hailed as a breakout hit of the fall season, delivering more delayed‑viewing lift than a cat video compilation.
