Chelsea’s Martinez Sends Jaw on Holiday After Everton Clash

Chelsea’s Emiliano Martínez saw his jaw decide it needed a holiday after a mid‑match collision with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite at Goodison Park. The Argentine goalkeeper was carried off with a fractured jaw and later underwent surgery.

Martínez confirmed he’ll be out for a few weeks, but insists Chelsea’s ambitions remain intact – even if his ability to shout “Goal!” from the back is temporarily muted.

The Blues still secured a win at Everton, proving that a broken tooth isn’t enough to dent their confidence.

Fans are now joking that keeping a spare set of teeth in their pockets might become the next essential match‑day accessory.
