Two Activists Take the Plunge, Literally, onto Woodside Platform 200km Offshore

Two activists occupied a Woodside gas platform roughly 200 km off the coast of Western Australia, choosing the offshore rig as their stage to protest the company’s gas operations.

Police arrived on scene and placed both individuals into custody. They are now awaiting a hearing.

The stunt highlights how far some protestors will go to draw attention to offshore gas projects – the only thing they managed to extract was a police report.
