Tubi’s Next Nightmare: R.L. Stine’s ‘The Babysitter’ Arrives in 2027

Tubi is set to drop a live‑action version of R.L. Stine’s ‘The Babysitter’ in 2027, adding another shiver to its growing horror catalog.

The free‑streaming platform’s partnership with the master of kids‑nightmare tales already produced two Pumpkinhead movies and the recently announced ‘Afraid of Clowns.’ This new project becomes the fourth title born from that deal.

The adaptation will be helmed by director Trevor Calverle, whose name may be unfamiliar but whose vision promises to turn the classic babysitting premise into a full‑blown scream fest.

Fans can expect the usual Tubi twist: a big‑budget horror vibe served on a free‑streaming platter, proving that even budget‑friendly services are willing to splurge on scares that keep viewers up past midnight.

All signs point to a 2027 release, keeping the spooky calendar busy and giving horror‑hungry audiences another reason to keep the lights on while they binge.
