Nick Blakey’s Trade Chase Hits a Bump: Day Five’s Scramble Leaves Clubs in Overdrive

Day five of the AFL trade period sees the hunt for Nick Blakey heating up, with clubs scrambling to secure his services.

Despite the flurry of interest, no definitive deal has emerged and Blakey has not issued any official comment on his preferred destination.

Clubs are juggling packages of future draft picks and fringe players, a process that could leave some with lighter wallets than a locker after a ruck contest.

The trade clock continues to tick, and each passing minute adds pressure, making the situation feel like a final‑quarter dead‑heat.
