Paramount Announces Cyberpunk 2077 Film – the Only Thing Certain Is the Producer’s Love of Neon

Paramount Pictures is officially moving into the neon‑drenched world of CD Projekt Red’s hit RPG Cyberpunk 2077. The studio confirmed that a live‑action adaptation is in development, with veteran producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura – best known for his work on the Transformers franchise – attached to shepherd the project.

The partnership pairs an American film powerhouse with the Polish studio that created the award‑winning game, promising a blend of Hollywood spectacle and the game’s signature cyber‑future aesthetic. While details on the script, cast, and release timeline remain under wraps, the collaboration itself signals Paramount’s confidence in the franchise’s cinematic potential.

Fans can expect the usual Hollywood‑meets‑gaming mash‑up, with CD Projekt Red providing creative guidance to ensure the film stays true to the game’s gritty, open‑world vibe. As the project moves forward, the only thing we can be sure of is that the neon lights will be bright, the producers are seasoned, and the deadline is still a mystery.
