Mayor Mamdani Jeered at October 7 Vigil, Called Traitor to Palestinian Cause

At an October 7 vigil, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani was jeered and called a traitor to the Palestinian cause, turning what was meant to be a solemn remembrance into an impromptu roast.

Since taking office, Mamdani has walked a fine line on Middle‑East politics, and the protestors’ chant of “traitor” underscored the precariousness of that balance.
