Roos make huge offer for Crows key defender, says Cal Twomey

North Melbourne are said to have tabled a "huge offer" for a key defender from the Adelaide Crows, AFL writer Cal Twomey reports. While the exact terms have not been disclosed, the bid is being described as large enough to raise eyebrows around the league. The Crows’ defender remains under contract, and negotiations are ongoing as the Roos look to bolster their back‑line.

The story has sparked plenty of speculation about how the deal might reshape the competition, but for now the only confirmed detail is the size of the offer – a figure that, according to Twomey, could rival the club’s annual operating budget.
