Poison Ivy Gets a New Home: HBO’s Latest Green Take on Gotham

HBO is developing a Poison Ivy television series, a fact confirmed by Variety. The project has attracted Lauren LeFranc – the showrunner behind the live‑action spinoff "The Penguin" – as a producer.

Both Variety reports stress that the Ivy series will not be set within Matt Reeves’ Batman universe, meaning the plant‑powered villain will get her own narrative playground.

Fans can finally watch Ivy’s roots grow without having to share screen time with a caped crusader, and the series promises to let the botanist villain cultivate her own story – literally.
