Denzel Washington and Christopher McQuarrie Team on Untitled Thriller Set for Late 2027

Denzel Washington will star and Christopher McQuarrie will direct an untitled thriller that has been greenlit by United Artists and Amazon MGM Studios, with a planned release in late 2027.

The studios have deliberately chosen to keep the film’s title secret until its debut, a move that invites fans to speculate about the story’s genre and tone.

Adding the project to an already busy slate, United Artists and Amazon MGM Studios are continuing their tradition of backing ambitious, high‑profile collaborations.

While no plot details have been disclosed, the pairing of Washington and McQuarrie is already generating buzz across the industry.

A late‑2027 release window gives the creative team ample time to develop the mystery and bring the untitled thriller to the big screen.
